Serena Williams doubled her fun on Saturday at Wimbledon.

Hours after winning her historic 22nd Grand Slam singles title, she teamed with big sister Venus to win the women’s doubles championship over No. 5 seeds Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova, 6-3, 6-4.

The win gave the Williams sisters their sixth doubles title at Wimbledon and 14th Grand Slam doubles title as a team. It also marked their first tournament victory together since winning gold at the 2012 London Olympics.

“It was really special to be out there again ... to win Wimbledon in doubles," Serena told wimbledon.com. "We love it, we love playing doubles, we love being together. I had just enough time to change and get the ankles re-taped. It was fine. I didn’t want to warm down.”

Competing in only their third tournament together since the 2014 US Open, Venus and Serena rallied from a break down by going on a four-game run to capture the opening set.

The Williams sisters broke Shvedova in the second set to lead 4-3 and rode that momentum through the rest of the match. Venus served out the match at 5-4, with Serena hitting a backhand-volley winner on match point, and then both sisters hugged jubilantly in celebration.

“Watching Serena playing earlier was amazing and I was so into that,” Venus said. “We had to hit the reset button to get ready for the doubles. She brought the energy from game one.”

Venus and Serena are likely to team up next at the 2016 Rio Olympics. They will look to win their fourth gold medal as a doubles team, having already prevailed in 2000, 2004 and 2012.

Venus also won a gold medal in singles at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, while Serena did the same at the 2012 London Games.
