For the last 15 years, Boyd Tinsley, the violinist for the Dave Matthews Band, has sponsored a women's USTA Pro Circuit tournament in his hometown of Charlottesville, Va.

The $50,000 Boyd Tinsley Clay Court Classic is taking place this week at the Boar's Head Sports Club, with the singles and doubles finals set for Sunday.

To help celebrate the tournament's milestone anniversary, Tinsley performed with the Crystal Garden – a band he put together and produces – at the tournament's player party Tuesday night at the Jefferson Theater in downtown Charlottesville.

The Boyd Tinsley Clay Court Classic is the second of three USTA Pro Circuit women's events that make up the USTA Pro Circuit Roland Garros Wild Card Challenge. In the challenge, the American player who has the best results at two of three USTA Pro Circuit events will earn a wild card to compete in the 2016 French Open main draw.

This year's player field includes former Top 50 player Anna Tatishvili, 2011 US Open girls' champion Grace Min, 2015 NCAA singles champion Jamie Loeb and 2009 US Open quarterfinalist and 2011 mixed doubles champion Melanie Oudin.
