USTA Southern invited the four top 10 and under finishers from three Southern regions to show off their growing expertise on June 24- 25 at Champions Club in Chattanooga, TN.
Representing the West, Central, and East areas, the top players from the 10s Southern Championships were invited to participate in the team event.
There were four teams and each team had a coach and were able to coach within the match play. Among the coaches was former US Open quarterfinals and mixed double champion Melanie Oudin. A resident of Marietta, GA, Oudin is working her way back from injuries with an eye on returning to WTA Tour competition.
Teams played singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The matches were very close, winner won by 1 set. Following the team play there was an ED Camp for all the participants.
