It's back! After a brief one-year hiatus, College MatchDay, the nationwide series spotlighting college tennis, returns over the next month and will feature five team matches with some of the top men’s and women’s college tennis programs in the country in action.
The 2016 College MatchDay series kicks off Thursday, March 17, with the No. 14 Texas A&M women visiting No. 7 and defending NCAA champion Vanderbilt (pictured above: Vanderbilt senior Francis Altick) in Nashville at 5 p.m. ET. The match will be delivered on the SEC Network, available through WatchESPN and the ESPN app, with USTA National Coach, Collegiate Tennis, Stephen Amritraj and renowned coach Mark Bey serving as on-air talent.

The College MatchDay series began in 2013 as a way to promote college tennis through enhanced on-site marketing and digital network exposure. The series returns this year as the USTA continues to help support the digital network delivery and live, on-campus experience of college tennis team matches.
“The USTA is once again thrilled to help promote college tennis by supporting ‘College MatchDay,’” said USTA Director of Collegiate Tennis Virgil Christian. “It’s incredibly exciting to see more and more universities delivering their matches through digital networks. We’re committed to ensuring that this trend continues and that the popularity of college tennis keeps growing.”
