Kym Van Hout (Sequoyah High School)

  • School I coach at:   Sequoyah boys
#1 reason why I enjoy coaching high school tennis:   I enjoy coaching tennis because I love watching teens
get involved with school athletics.  I enjoy seeing how
players learn to be a teammate, show sportsmanship
and create friendships.  Although tennis is usually an
individual sport, high school tennis allows them to play
their sport as part of a team.
    Best coaching memory I've
    had is:
Riding the bus with the players to a tournament and
seeing the team bond and build great friendships
Dream doubles match would be me and....   Sloane Stephens
When I'm not coaching tennis I'm.....   Playing tennis, going to Atlanta United soccer games
    and teaching Kindergarten
    Diehard fan of what sports
University of Georgia - Go Dawgs!
    What's one thing about your
    program you would like folks
    to know about:
I continue to build our tennis program and by getting
new players interested in the sport of tennis.  Tennis is
a sport that can be played for life.  I encourage players
on my program to play outside of the high school
    program to get better.
