Captaining... the most dreaded job in tennis. BUT, when you're a good captain, you make it look easy! Handling the grumpy player, motivating the down-and-out, counseling, being a listening ear in times of ranting. Oh, and rain? What's a little rain? The good captains roll with it! We appreciate these great captains - both those who've been doing it for many years and our newer players and parents who took the plunge and always help get new players on teams. We couldn't do it without these great leaders!

All our captains are parents who are volunteering to help organize these youth tennis programs - they do with without a lot of direction and knowledge and all do a wonderful job.

One of the most vital aspects of keeping players involved in USTA Leagues is exceptional captains. These captains keep players excited about playing competitively and promote team camaraderie. Many of our captains step up and Captain a team in every adult format. These Captains are pertinent to Macon Tennis and help in other ways outside of just local matches. We value our captains because they also volunteer at Tournaments, provide food and other support during college matches and many other events.

Captains are the life-blood of our organization. We have been blessed with many Captains that have always stepped up to the challenge time and time again. I cannot say enough about my Captains!

NEGTA appreciates all of our captains. It was hard to select only 4. We hope all of our captains know we are here to support them and help them when needed. Congratulation to this years ACE captain of 2019.

Captains in my opinion are the most vital part of league tennis. It is a thankless job that really goes unappreciated and unacknowledged. They do it simple because they like getting out to play and completing.

These captains have been captaining their teams seasons after seasons. They are the ones I contact if I need any help in recruiting other teams and never had any complaints.

CHATA Captains are vital to our leagues, they do everything from normal captains duties to recruiting new player and everything in between. They are ambassadors for our sport in our community.

League tennis could not exist without our captains.  They are the key to developing more players in our adult leagues. Captains wear many hats.  They recruit, collect funds, keep records, and interpret rules. However, the most important part of being a great captain is the atmosphere they create on their teams. Captains are catalysts for forming lifelong friendships, encouragement and support among their players.

Our captains are the best! Without them we could not have USTA leagues. Their willingness to volunteer and bring the teams together is the glue for forming the tennis community. While I am sure they will tell you that they have made some of their best friends in forming tennis teams, those players will also tell you that they are blessed to have captains who made it happen.

USTA Atlanta is fortunate to have an abundance of exceptional volunteer captains.  Our captains are our boots on the ground and are an integral part of our league programs.  We hope they know how much they are appreciated for the time and effort they put into making league tennis so successful.
