USTA Georgia Internship Opportunities

As a non-profit organization, USTA Georgia offers a variety of tennis programs forplayers of all ages and abilities in an effort to “promote and develop the growth of tennis” in every community in Georgia. The internship will revolve primarily around the USTA Georgia Marketing Department. Emphasis will be on program marketing,social media, communications and public relations. This internship is designed to give experience in marketing, strategic & tactical planning, promotions and computer skills (including but not limited to web/graphic design, contentmanagement & word processing). The USTA Georgia office (located in Marietta) has openings during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.

Intern primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist with USTA promotional campaigns and events
  • Assist with USTA membership campaigns
  • Update & manage the USTA Georgia website and social media outlets (includingbut not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube)
  • Assist with the production and distribution of press releases, feature stories andother print material using Microsoft Office Suite and the Adobe Suite
  • Create and distribute event promotional materials
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Marketing and/or Executive Director

Qualifications: USTA Georgia is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, college student who is interested in and has experience with Marketing/PublicRelations/Communications/Graphic Design. Specific qualifications include:

  • College major (focus) in communications, public relations, journalism, graphic design or marketing studies
  • General work experience
  • Involvement in their college (clubs, organizations, sports or in the community)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding and ability to navigate and successfully execute work in 2010 Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with the Adobe Suite and/or graphic design
  • Creative and forward-thinking
  • Commitment to delivering excellent work and promoting the growthand development of tennis.

All Intern candidates must be current students. This is an unpaid internship, but school and course credit are available in this internship. Local housing and transportation are recommended, as it will not be provided.
