Shelby Rogers Downed in Three Sets in Macon Final

Shelby Rogers continued her comeback from injuries by reaching the final of the $80 Macon Tennis Classic. 

Rogers was defeated by American Katerina Stewart 6-7(2), 6-3, 6-2. Previously she took out Coco Fandeweghe 6-0, 6-0 in the quarters and former Georgia native Grace Min 6-4, 6-2 in the semis.

The Charleston, SC, player bottomed out at No. 743 in March after dealing with a major knee injury. Now, she is ranked No. 217. She was ranked No. 48, her career high, in early 2017.
